SALTEK was founded in 1978, at a time when Pita (Arabic) bread baking was still performed in traditional ways. Due to its prospective sensation for technical growth and the requirements of the modern industry, it succeeded to combine the Tradition and Experience of the past with technological progress of today, to offer its clients the best of modern equipments for the production of excellent Pita bread.
Saltek after its humble beginning by the Salkhanian brothers as a small workshop in an industrial area of Beirut, nowadays Saltek extends over 5000 square meters in Dora – Bourj Hammoud- Lebanon which is equipped with modern machineries and manufacturing techniques, with best programs and means for research, design & development, run by a committed and qualified team of people, striving all the time to ensure satisfaction and success to its clients.
In 1981 after extensive research and efforts, Saltek built its 1st automatic production line from dough divider to bread cooling conveyors. This was an unparalleled move at the time in Pita bread manufacturing industry
